The Action Akton Shear Smart Pad with Shear Smart Cover is a cube gel cushion that provides superb comfort and significantly reduces the effects of shear. People with limited mobility will find this adapted gel pad provides cushioning from mild impact, heat dissipation and increases comfort.

Action Akton Shear Smart Pad has a cube construction that allows air circulation. This 9/16 inch thick Akton polymer does not leak, flow, or bottom out. The viscoelastic gel cushion is tissue equivalent, and is designed to move with the user, not against them, to reduce pressure and shear, the two leading causes of pressure sores. Akton polymer is also easy to clean with standard disinfectant, will not support microbiological growth, and it won't absorb body fluids or odors.

The Action Shear Smart Cover is a breathable, low shear fabric provides significant relief from the effects of shearing and is an effective moisture barrier against incontinence. The double layer material allows for maximum movement on the pad.
