Questions and Answers
The
Push Bar for Wheelchairs
is designed to decrease the effort required to push a wheelchair over soft ground, carpets, steep ramps, and uneven surfaces. The ergonomic design allows the person pushing to place their hands in a variety of positions.
The Push Bar for Wheelchairs easily attaches and raises the height of the handles by 4 inches, allowing users to push without having to bend over. No tools are required to install the bar, and it can also be removed for easier transportation and storage of a wheelchair. Two large thumb screws securely attach the handle over the push handles on the back of a manual wheelchair.
The Push Bar for Wheelchairs is made from aluminum, with the center push bar covered by durable overmolded ABS plastic. It is capable of supporting up to 250 pounds, and is adjustable to fit most wheelchairs, with the width of the bar ranging from 15-1/2 to 24 inches.
To ensure that the push bar will fit your wheelchair, measure the distance between the handles, center to center, while the wheelchair is fully opened.
