Q:I am a double amputee and have trouble with wheelchair tipping over backwards. floors & ground are very hard. Does this tip over or does it have backstops to prevent that?

A: This wheelchair has a tilt adjustment and brakes accessible by hand. I checked this by rocking back and forth and it would be very difficult to tip over this wheelchair. I recommend getting the foot plates accessory for this wheelchair. The foot plates can help prevent from tipping over forward.

A: The brakes are located on both sides of the wheelchair and can be easily reached. They are levers right in front of the back wheels.
