The Freedom Staff Portable Handicap Thumb Control Driving Tools attach to most any car with an automatic transmission. The control handles allow the user to accelerate by gently pulling the lever toward them, and to brake by gently pushing the thumb control down. The long lever handles are easy to install using the included strap that slides over the steering column to stabilize the controls in position. The revolutionary design allows the user to easily handle the steering wheel with one hand while operating the hand control device with the other hand. Freedom Staff Driving Tools are made of aircraft grade aluminum and stainless steel hardware to provide smooth operation. Q: Can this hand control be set right or left hand?

A: No, you would not want to be pushing the break with your thumb, as the break pedal is typically much harder to push than the gas pedal.

Q: Thank you for answering my question, My problem is, how do you attach the Freedom Staff to the Accelerator? The shape of the peddle seems to make it impossible to attach anything to it. Please help.

A: The hand-foot controls just clamp on to the pedals. Shape of the pedal doesn’t matter, so long as it can be clamped on (nothing behind or around the pedal to interfere). Unless it is a very strange accelerator pedal, they’re typically tall and skinny, brakes are more square. The accelerator clamp sits horizontal while the brake clamp sits vertical.
