The EquaGel Protector Cushion is 2.5 inches of dry-polymer gel that provides advanced pressure relief for maximum comfort. The top layer has a smaller grid pattern that is incorporated with a larger bottom grid of gel. The bottom layer is made of a larger grid with thick-walled gel that is more robust and designed to continue the weight redistribution. The sculpted pelvic contoured area mimics the shape of the body for ultimate comfort, supporting the user in good alignment, and preventing bottoming out.
The cover is made of a durable poly-knit fabric backed with polyurethane fabric that is stretchy and water-resistant. The outer layer keeps liquid from penetrating into the gel cushion. It is vapor-permeable, allowing air to freely pass through the cover. The base fabric is a standard low-slip material with Velcro sections to help secure the cushion to a wheelchair seat. EquaGel Protector Gel Wheelchair Cushion is 2.5 inches high and is available in widths from 16 to 22 inches and depths of 16 and 18 inches. Wider sizes are available by special request.
