Coach
I think this is tremendous and my 87 year old mother with arthritis loves it; and the picture doesn''t do it justice and should be taken at another angle; we bought the swivel seat first but ours and most car seats are too deep to work and kind of wasted or money; this is perfect; highly recommend it!

Seat Slide
Works good to pivot my husband in the car seat so he can step out. The only drawback is that it will blow away when he stands up, so we watch out for that.

This product works but needs one improvement to rate 5 stars. There is no way to secure it to the car seat, it needs a elastic strap or tab or something to keep it secure to the car seat.

Mr.
Got this wonderful aid for my wife who has limited mobility in her knees due to arthritis and lack of cartilage. Worked great in the vehicle and also as an aid for maneuvering in the bed.

Ms
The product appeared to be well constructed. Unfortunately, the product did not enhance my mobility in getting in and out of the car. My "guess" is that my weight (over 200 lbs.) and bone on bone osteoarthritis in my knees hampered the performance.

Q:
I can't tell how the Car Ease Slide is positioned on the seat from the dimensions alone. One picture has it draped over the seat. Does it need to be tucked into the seat. Also does the material become hot if left in a sunny or hot car such as during the summer? It looks like it might. Thanks.
Asked by:

- 2/25/2019
A:
The Car Ease Slide is meant to be portable so it doesn't have to be tucked into the seat unless you want it to stay in the car. It's made of a low friction nylon which won't get any hotter than regular cloth seats in a car. It can be folded and taken with you when you exit or placed in the glove compartment to avoid getting too hot also.

Q:
How do you use it ?
Asked by:
Kim
- 12/26/2016
A:
The material just sits underneath the user. Since it is a loop, the top and bottom tend to stay in place while the middle is where the friction level is decreased to the point that it is much easier to turn.

Q:
I need help getting from transport wheelchair into car. I can't see how this product works. I can't stand, only push off from one leg. Used to grab car door with arm & haul myself in. Can't do that now. How would this product help? Thanks!
Asked by:
Chris
- 5/19/2017
A:
The material decreases the drag coefficient to the point that the top and bottom layers easily slide over one another. The Car Ease Slide will help you slide and/or turn in the seat.

Q:
Is there a video I can watch demonstrating how to use this slide? I'm looking for the best way to safely assist my elderly aunt, who has severe edema in both legs, to enter my car. It's gotten very difficult for her.
Asked by:
Adele
- 10/12/2017
A:
I apologize, but no video is available at this time. For getting in to the car, you might want to look at the Handy Bar and Car Caddie. The Car Ease Slide helps more with positioning to get in/out, not the actual sitting down/standing.

Q:
This product is a sleeve, thin and moves around to much. I am not happy wirh it. Do you have something that is one solid piece and maybe a bit thicker?

A:
There are several options for car transfer aids. If you are just needing something to turn and slide out of the car you could try the Handybar & Swivel Seat Cushion by Standers (Product #: CMT96313). The cushion swivels so you can swing your legs out of the car door and the handy bar is used for support when standing. If you are needing something to slide from the car to a wheelchair there are several transfer board, such as the Ultra Slick Transfer Board with Hand Holes (Product #: CME).

Q:
considering this as an aid for an upper legs double amputee to transfer to and from car seat to wheel chair. His difficulty is pivoting from a sitting position in the car sat to facing the door to make the transfer. Does the slide attach to the seat so it will not bunch up while pivoting ?
Asked by:
neal
- 5/14/2017
A:
No, the material does not attach to the seat or the user. However, the friction level is decreased between the top and bottom layers to the point that the top and bottom layers tend to stay put against the user/seat anyway. The material will bunch up if the user is turning a lot, as in more than 90 degrees or so. Sliding does not typically cause the slide to bunch up, since the material is sewn in a loop.

Q:
How does this work? Is it an inflatable cushion? Can't fig out from the 2 pics
Asked by:
Cvd
- 7/6/2017
A:
No, it is not an inflatable cushion. The top and bottom layers make it easy to slide/turn by decreasing the drag coefficient between the layers.
