The Car Caddie by Standers is a car transfer aid designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. This unique product provides a helping hand for getting in or out of a car, van, or truck.

The Car Caddie is a figure-eight style strap constructed of durable nylon. The strap loops around the car door window frame and adjusts for varying heights of vehicle windows. The cushioned grip handle provides a comfortable hold for assistance while entering and exiting the automobile. The Car Caddie is easily transferred to use in other vehicles because it has an adjustable strap and does not need to be permanently installed.

To install the Car Caddie in a vehicle, simply roll the window down enough to loop the Car Caddie around the top frame of the window. Then snap the buckle closed and adjust the length so you can reach the handle while seated. Position the Car Caddie along the frame in the most effective position that provides you maximum assistance. Roll the window up to secure the Car Caddie in place. The CarCaddie provides users balance and support during car transfers, but is not intended to carry the full weight of an individual. Maximum weight bearing capacity is 250 pounds.

Car Caddie strap

This aid wasn''t as helpful as I hoped it would be. Even extended as far as it will go, the strap isn''t long enough to come to where I need it for holding onto, and helping myself get out of the car. I am short (5'' tall), and the left arm is unable to lift up high enough to reach the handle due to immobility issues. I wish it were about 6 to 8 inches longer so I could reach it comfortably. Although I can see it would work well, without any complications to attach it to the car door frame, for someone without the issues I have to work with. Thank you.

Hand grips for car window

I knew these would be light weight and they are, but they are strong. They do tend to slip around on the window frame and when not in use, "clunk" on the window, but that is doable. They help my husband getting in and out so that works for us!

Car Caddie is great!

I just got the Car Caddie from Mobility-Aids.com. I took my father in law to the movies today. He has had 2 strokes, and has trouble transferring because he has no feeling down his right side. The car caddie was a great help both getting in and out of the car. Thanks again.

Q: My car has a small handle that pulls down from the top of the car near the door. Could this product be attached to that rather than attached to the door frame?

A: It wouldn't be recommended due to the Caddie is designed to loop around the car door window frame and adjusts for varying heights of vehicle windows, to meet your needs.
